God, I love John Green and everything he stands for so much. Aside from this being one of my favourite vlogbrothers moments because of the Yeti’s comment, it reminds me of a conversation Kara had with a coworker. Basically, she told me that this guy said that men are plugs and women are outlets— a man can pleasure himself, but in order for a woman to be happy, she has to have a man inside her. That is one of the most heterosexist (and just altogether untrue) comments I have ever heard, and I couldn’t believe that someone could spout that sort of talk so freely. I know that’s not quite the point John’s making here, but it’s so close, and it makes me feel a lot better to be reminded that there are men out there who don’t believe in that sort of bullcrap.
